This rare educational film (dated 1956) was recently discovered and restored by art historians and media scholars in New York City. Produced as an educational text-film by McGraw-Hill, the short film details the normative routines and expectations for those training to be artists, which, cultural critics argue, are tied to existing cultures of training, habituation, and imitation located in the art world today.
